Empathy and Solidarity
When I was child in my school food was distributed for the most needy on Wednesdays. Together with my family we participated several times in this activity, which was called ''Ruta de la cuchara'', although it was held once a week, the people on the street appreciated it too much.
Together with more people, we passed through different parts of Santiago carrying a plate of hot food. One who participated in this, realized that the simplest things can sometimes mean a lot to someone, it really was very nice.
In addition, different realities and life stories of street people are known, which are often impressive. As I said before with my family we participated several times in this ''Ruta de la cuchara'', and at Christmas 2017, together with my parents and my sister, we prepared dinners, approximately 40 and we distribute them throughout Santiago. Replicating what we did years ago.
Many people do not intend to do this, but I recommend it because it makes you see different realities and makes you realize how lucky you are.
